Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified business valuator to join our Calgary office. The focus of this position will be on litigation matters and assisting on significant insurance assignments. Working within the MDD group, the ideal candidate would be responsible for the management and completion of assignments. Attending client meetings and communicating the results of your analysis in an expert report will be required.  This position will involve a role in new business development and maintaining current clients. Business development plans will be developed with, and assisted by, our business development and marketing team.

There is some expectation of travel with this position, depending on the nature of the assignment. In addition, given the nature of our work and practice, there are many opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Requirements:

  • CBV designation

The ideal candidate will thrive in a small office environment and be given the opportunity to make an impact at an early stage in their career. They should feel comfortable conducting reviews and investigations within both small and large organisations, have keen analytical skills and need to be of an outgoing nature with long term career aspirations. Business travel will also be required, occasionally at short notice. Achievement of at least a 2:1 in Business Management, Economics of Accounting based degree is a prerequisite and European language skills will be viewed as advantageous. Competency with Microsoft Excel and Word is also essential.

Job Description:

Primarily a data analysis role reviewing information from a wide variety of industries with the opportunity for rapid progression.

You will be involved in the interpreting and analysis of financial data presented in differing formats in order to form conclusions as to the performance of businesses operating in any number of different industries. This will involve in-depth analysis of different types of historical data such as production or sales in order to calculate projections as to how this output would vary in the future incorporating any number of various external factors such as weather, competitors etc.

You will be expected to share your expertise and experience with colleagues and delegate work in a clear, concise and confident manner to subordinates of various ages and experience levels. Communication of results and explanations to superiors and clients in both small and large meetings will also be required.

Language skills will be viewed as advantageous and travel will occasionally be required.
