Matt joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Winnipeg office in 2016. He is a Manager at the firm.
Matt’s past experience as a Staff Accountant and Business Valuation Specialist augments his forensic accounting practice, where he concentrates on matters related to business valuation, business disputes, lost profits, divorce & marital disputes, business interruption, and extra expenses/increased costs. He is also active in the litigation support area, providing expert reports and other forms of documentation for mediations and trials.
Matt’s experience covers a wide range of industries including agriculture, commercial rental properties, hotels and resorts, manufacturing, medical and dental practices, restaurants, retail and wholesale, telecommunications and transportation.
He has presented seminars to legal professionals on how to read financial statements and to insurance professionals on business interruption. Additionally, he has lectured to MBA students at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business on the subject of business valuations for financial reporting.
Matt graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, majoring in Management Economics in Industry and Finance. He also received a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
