Roland joined Johnson Atwater & Company in 1973 which later became MDD Forensic Accountants in 1979. He is a Partner Emeritus at the firm.
Roland is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and Georgia. He is proficient at quantifying, verifying and analyzing economic damages in matters related to insurance coverage and litigation.
Roland specializes in a multitude of forensic accounting practice areas including business interruption, physical damages, fraud concealment & misrepresentation, products liability & recall and business disputes. He is also adept at performing business valuations for divorces, contract disputes, contract terminations and antitrust situations.
Roland has worked on projects across a wide range of industries such as steel and aluminum manufacturing, retail and wholesale, agriculture, chemicals, mining, publishing, food processing, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, plastics, pulp and paper, hotels and hospitality, telecommunications, textiles and utilities. Additionally, he has wealth of experience in the government sector.
He has provided fact witness testimony in Federal, state and foreign courts. Roland has also applied his expertise on appraisal and mediation assignments.
He has presented seminars and workshops to insurance and legal professionals and has written numerous articles on forensic accounting topics such as business valuations.
Roland received his B.S. in Accounting degree from University of Georgia.
