MDD Appoints Six New Partners – 2017

We’re extremely pleased to announce the addition of six new partners in 2017. In addition to being highly qualified and respected leaders in the forensic accounting field, each of these people have also dedicated themselves to pursuing a path of excellence. Andreea Ilie | ACMA, CGMA | Singapore

Andreea began her career with MDD’s London office almost 15 years ago. She moved to Singapore in 2007 to help the continued growth of the firm’s first Asia-Pacific location. She has significant experience evaluating the impact of catastrophes throughout the world and, most notably, is known for her in-depth knowledge of the claims process in Southeast Asia.

Fluent in French and Romanian, Andreea assists her clients by quantifying damages related to business interruption, contingent business interruption, extra expenses, stock losses, fraud investigation, and many other practice areas, with a particular interest in the Energy sector.

Mark Mangan | ACMA, CGMA | London

Mark has spent his career with MDD working in the firm’s London office. He focuses his efforts on matters involving business interruption, product liability, lost profits, fidelity claims and entertainment contingency claims. Mark has worked on assignments in the United Kingdom, Israel, Russia, South America, Africa, the Caribbean and continental Europe.

In addition to this work, he has also provided litigation support related to contractual disputes and product liability.

Martin Martinovic | CPA | New York

Martin joined MDD’s Toronto office almost 20 years ago and has also worked in the firm’s London and New York offices. He has honed his expertise across a wide variety of practice areas, particularly those within the liability sector and has also provided litigation support on matters in Canada, the U.K. and the United States.

As a result of his international training across a variety of disciplines, Martin is well versed in matters dealing with class actions, construction, cyber risk, fidelity claims, lost profits, personal injury & wrongful death, products liability & recall and subrogation.

Jarrett Reaume | B.Acc, CPA, CA*IFA, CBV, CFF, CFE | Halifax

After joining MDD in 2011, Jarrett moved to Halifax to open and manage the firm’s Atlantic Canada office. He focuses on assignments involving business interruption, expropriation, stock & contents, products liability & recall, business valuations and personal injury & wrongful death. In addition to this expertise, Jarrett is also well versed in matters related to family law, taxation and assurance.

He has provided expert testimony before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and has supplied litigation support to numerous clients. He is also a well-respected speaker and has delivered seminars on topics such as economic loss, business interruption and business valuation.

Jarrett’s partnership takes effect May 1, 2017.

Ephraim Stulberg | B.A, M.A, M.BA, CPA, CA, CBV | Toronto

Ephraim is one of the leaders of the firm’s litigation support practice. He has provided expert witness testimony both in court and at arbitrations and has worked on matters across Canada, as well as in the United States, South America, the Middle East and Asia.

He has prepared business valuation and economic loss quantification reports in hundreds of matters involving shareholder disputes, expropriation, class actions, franchise disputes, matrimonial disputes, intellectual property infringement, professional negligence and breach of contract. He has completed numerous assignments involving first-party and third-party insurance coverage.

Ephraim will become a partner May 1, 2017.

Daniel Thorpe | BA Hons, ACMA, CGMA | Dubai

Dan came to MDD’s London office over 10 years ago. After moving to Hong Kong to assist with the firm’s growth in Asia Pacific, he then opened the Dubai office in 2013 to help the firm serve its ever-expanding client base in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

His expertise has taken him around the world. As a result, he has significant expertise quantifying damages resulting from business interruption, contingent business interruption, delay in start-up, stock & contents, extra expenses, products liability & recall, physical damages and lost profits. He has significant experience in power generation and oil & gas.
