Current and past assignments include a variety of high-profile cases related to commercial litigation, fraud and corruption, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, business interruption, product liability and recall, and subrogation.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with an interest in pursuing a career in forensic accounting. The work involves the quantification of business insurance claims and litigation matters ranging from business interruption to intellectual property disputes.
Working with the MDD team, the ideal candidate would be responsible for the management and completion of assignments; attending client meetings and communicating the results of your analysis; and, supervising junior and senior level accountants. In addition to file work, this position plays a key role in new business development and maintaining current clients.
There may be some expectation of travel with this position, depending on the nature of the assignments.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, ACMA or ACCA)
- At least 5 year’s relevant work experience
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage junior and senior accountant level staff
- Well-developed analytical, writing and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
- Motivated to exceed client expectations and develop leadership skills
- Prior experience with stock losses, business interruption, litigation and/or forensic accounting assignments
- Fluent in Spanish and English
