Neil joined AXA XL in 2003 and has more than 30 years' experience in leading fine art and species claims related matters. He provides direction and oversight on complex losses that emanate from the Global Fine Art & Specie (FAS) claims portfolio and manages the UK & Lloyd's FAS claims team. Prior to joining AXA XL, Neil held a number of adjusting positions for various London Market Syndicates specialising in Fine Art and Specie, Marine and Aviation. Neil talks to Barry about how he came to work in claims, his thoughts on what makes a good claims handler, the shift in work travel since the pandemic and the role of ESG with the organisation at AXA XL. Barry also quizzes Neil on his aspirations for the future and what his career might have been, had he not made a career in claims.
